Buick has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Envista, a midsize electric SUV that combines a sleek design with a spacious interior and impressive performance. The Buick Envista is based on the same platform as the Cadillac Celestiq and GMC Hummer EV but has a distinctive identity and features.
A low and wide stance, a sculpted body, and a striking front fascia with a large grille and slim LED headlights characterize the Envista's exterior. The grille also houses a light-up Buick logo and an illuminated strip that connects the headlights. The rear end features a full-width LED taillight bar and a roof spoiler. The Envista rides on 22-inch wheels and has a panoramic glass roof that adds to its airy feel.
The interior of the Buick Envista is equally stylish and spacious, with a minimalist dashboard that features a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Amazon Alexa integration. The Envista also has a head-up display, a wireless charging pad, and a Bose sound system. The cabin can accommodate up to five passengers, with plenty of legroom and headroom. The rear seats can slide and recline for added comfort and cargo space. The Envista also has a large trunk with a hidden storage compartment under the floor.
The Buick Envista is powered by two electric motors, one on each axle, that deliver a combined output of 340 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. The motors are fed by a 100-kWh battery pack that provides an estimated range of 300 miles on a single charge. The battery can be recharged at up to 150 kW using DC fast chargers, which can add up to 195 miles of range in 30 minutes. The Envista also supports regenerative braking, which can be adjusted using steering wheel paddles.
