Volkswagen has been a leader in the electric car market with its popular e-Golf and e-up! models. Now, the German automaker is taking its electrification strategy to the next level with its new ID.3 compact electric car. The ID.3 is the second generation of VW's ID. series, which aims to offer a range of stylish and efficient electric vehicles for different needs and preferences. The ID.3 was launched in 2019 with a sharp exterior and a sophisticated interior design, and it is now available to order in Germany in two versions starting from 39,995 euros before subsidies.
The Volkswagen ID.3 is based on the Electric Global Modular Platform, which is a dedicated platform for electric vehicles that optimizes performance and efficiency. The E-GMP allows the ID.3 to have a flat floor and a spacious cabin that can accommodate up to five passengers and their luggage. The Volkswagen ID.3 also features a flexible seating configuration that can be adjusted to suit different needs and preferences.
The Volkswagen ID.3 comes with a 30.5-centimeter display, a center console with USB-C ports and a multifunction steering wheel made from animal-free materials as standard equipment. Customers can choose between a monthly or an annual subscription if desired.
At the start of the new model generation, customers can choose between the ID.3 Pro and ID.3 Pro S versions. The VW ID.3 Pro has a 58 kWh battery and 150 kW/204 hp of power output.
